Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with kindergarten, to develop students' observation skills, to discuss and compare approaches to pre-school education in different countries.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student should be able to: understand and explain the system of preprimary education in Czech kindergartens; use information from observation and connect it with theory to get top view in theory of child, theory od enviornment, work of teacher; write the observation paper; interpret approach of communication between teacher and child.
Syllabus
  • Practical observation of the work of kindergarten’s teacher (communication with children, prepared environment, and organization of the educational activities) and the class life (rules, norms, traditions, rituals). 1.
