Course objectives
The goal of course is getting basic theoretical knowledge about Russian syntax. At the end of the course student will be able to list the basic features of Russian syntax; to confront it with the Czech system, to identify the syntactic construction; to analyze the structure of Russian simple and compound sentences.
Syllabus
  • Simple sentence, complex and compound sentence, one-component and two-component sentence, main sentence components (subject and predicate). Evolving sentence components. Complex and compound sentence.

Theoretical preparing for the exam during the study. Linguistic terminology. Syntactic analysis, determining the types of syntactic relations. Listening and reading in Russian language.
