- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to develop speaking, reading, writing and listening skills at the Intermediate Level (B1 according to CEFR). The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials. Throughout the semester students are encouraged to link theory in the classroom to practice at schools via practical tasks. At the end of the course students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at the Intermediate Level and communicate in the language fluently.

- By the end of the course the students will:
- develop speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills at the Intermediate Level (B1 according to CEFR);

- The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes INTERMEDIATE (Student's book), see Literature bellow. The syllabus includes Units 5 to 8, the focus is on speaking and listening activities and development of students' vocabulary.

- Maximum number of points per semester: 100 Pass mark: 70 Written test: 40 points (70% pass mark) Oral test: 30 points (70% pass mark) Placement test: 5 points Progress test: 5 points (FURTHER INFORMATION ON POINTS: PROGRESS TEST: 100-95% 5 POINTS 94-85% 4 POINTS 84-75% 3 POINTS 74-70% 2 POINTS LESS THAN 70% 1 POINT) Journal: 20 points Progress test – listening and writing + extensive feedback covering the areas a student needs to focus on in his/her studies Final test (pass mark 70%) – 4 parts: listening, reading, writing, vocabulary connected to the units covered Oral exam – based on units covered + discussing the journal
