- The course is run as a workshop for a maximum of 15 participants. It deals with translation of contemporary poetry; the course aims at selecting and translating into Czech a set of poems by English-speaking authors who wrote about Czech-related topics (be it culture, history, politics or any other). The work in the course will include selecting the texts, producing their translations, discussing them, and producing the final edition of the whole set. If we arrive at a satisfying result, we'll try to have it published; the publication on the WWW is guaranteed. In selecting the texts, we shall rely on the Literature Online Fulltext Database, so that mastering this useful tool will be an additional effect for all participants. The work in the course will require active and independent approach.
