Course objectives
The main objective of the Proseminar II is an introduction to Latin poetry reading. Selected passages from Ovid and Catull will be read. The course also offers a brief introduction to Latin prosody as well as to commentaries. The students will be able to read, understand and comment selected poems. See http://www.phil.muni.cz/elf/

Assessment methods
One paper on suggested topic during the semester. At the end, written and oral final exam concearning analysis of metrum and adequate translation from Latin to Czech.
