- Course objectives
- The main goal of this practical course is to gain practice in treatment of glass, china, ceramics objects, as well as stone artefacts.Students will be acquainted with points of view that influence the selection of a treatment method, effect of agents and properties of single materials. According to principles of the ethic codex, students suggest the most appropriate way of conservation-restoration works, write up the report, including picture documentation.

- l.Cleaning of ceramics - object investigation, mechanical and chemical cleaning
- 2:Cleaning of glass. Cleaning of gypsum artefacts.
- 3:Gluing of ceramics. Shapes for fill materials.
- 4:Gluing of glass. Filling-in of ceramics.
- 5:Filling-in of glass. Cementation of ceramics and glass.
- 6:Cleaning and conservation of mineralogical samples designated for collection purposes.
- 7:Conservation of historical stone architectonic element made from arenaceous marl.
- 8:Conservation and partial restoration of historical stone element made from sandstone.
- 9:Restoration of architectonic element made from marmor by using artifitial stone.
- 10:Utilization of plasma pencil for surface treatment of various materials.
- 11:Utilization of low-pressure hydrogen plasma for reduction of corrosion formed on metalic objects.
