- Course objectives
- After successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
a) define a children with special educational needs;
b) identify the individual needs of pupils;
c) use the sklills of disability in its educational practice;
d) choose methods of working and learning style for children with special educational needs;
e) evaluate the effectiveness of education of pupils. - Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- Identify and summarize important features of the main periods of the history of education for pupils with special educational needs;
- identify and describe current domestic and foreign educational trends;
- write a seminar paper on "Educating a pupil with" special educational needs ";
- to propose specific possibilities for support for pupils with special educational needs in teaching;
- will have an overview of schools and school facilities for the education of pupils with special educational needs;
- will know the basic legislation that determines education in the Czech Republic. - Syllabus
- The current concept of special education, a system of care for the peoples with disabilities. The possibility of integration of children with special educational needs, legislation.
- Basic terminology, categories, methods of diagnosis and the special pedagogy. Etiology, classification of individual disabilities, the possibility of education. Barriers for education of pupils with special educational needs.
- The integrated educational-psychological advisory system, education of pupils with disability.

Final written test consists of 5 open questions (rated 10 points) and 20 closed questions (rated 20 points), a total of 30 points. To pass you need to score at least 20 points. - Language of instruction
