- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, students should be able to explain the principles and application of the electron microscopy, the history of the development of electron microscopes; to describe to the construction of transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM); to understand and explain of the imaging methods in TEM and SEM; to learn basic techniques of specimen preparation for electron microscopy; to apply the knowledges to the selected samples; to interpret biological structures in the electron micrographs; to have knowledge of artefacts; to acquire the principles of the routine operation of the electron microscope.
