- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
The capacity limit for the course is 268 student(s).
Current registration and enrolment status: enrolled: 0/268, only registered: 0/268, only registered with preference (fields directly associated with the programme): 0/268 - fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- Applied Informatics (programme FI, B-AP)
- Economic Information Systems (programme ESF, B-SI)
- Course objectives
- Students should gain the knowledge of the contruction of the large information systems. The difference between "programming in large" and "programming in small" is explained. The lecture concentrates on the two represenative analytic methods - Yourdon Modern structured analysis and UML usage to analyse and design OO systems. Students will practically use CASE tools and they will analyse a system in a small team.
- Syllabus
- Programming in large. Empirical laws. Project life cycle. Requirements analysis and specification. Common criteria, modeling tools. Functional models, data flow diagrams, minispecification. Data models. Data dictionary, entity relationship diagrams. Time-dependent behaviour models. state transition diagrams and control data flow diagrams. E.Yourdon - Modern structured analysis. Development of the balanced essencial model. Structured design (principles, criteria), JSD, JSP. Other structered methods (SSADM) in comparison to YMSA. Object Oriented Analysis and Design. UML
