Course objectives
The contents of lectures is diveded into theoretical and practical parts. The aim of theoretical part: to show the basic methods of legal argumentation and interpretation of human rights and right to life; The aim of practical part: the analysis of particular cases and the evaluation of an effect their legal arrangement.
Syllabus
  • 1. The explanation of basic categories: human rights, right to rights; 2. The contemporary discourse of right to life; 3. The explanation of rights to life in the EU and Czech Law; 4. The analyse of contemporary discourse about a) abortion b) euthanasia c) assistance of reproduction d) manipulation of human gen; 5. Human rights and the legal interpretation; 6. Social rights and right to life;
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Předmět bude ukončen zápočtem a kolokviem. Povinnosti studentů bude vypracovat formou seminární práce analýzu konkrétního případů; jeho řešení, navrhnout techniky a metody argumentace a interpretace,atd.
