Course objectives
The goal of nursing practice is to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in highly specialized nursing care for patients in connection with anesthetic performances and at patients with cardiovascular disease in a life-threatening condition. An integral part of the preparation for specialized roles in selected areas of health care and to obtain information about an establishment where such care is provided. Practice will take place at accredited: anesthesia workstations, Cardiologic or cardiac centers.
Syllabus
  • Skills: provide highly specialized nursing care to patients in the preparation, during and immediately after completion of all the methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia; carry out surveillance and monitoring of physiological functions, the evaluation of the status of possible complications and emergencies and contribute to their solution; participate in the maintenance of general and local anesthesia; prepare equipment, supplies and medicines to individual methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia; monitor the functionality of special instrumentation and ensure its permanent readiness; maintain documentation in connection with the     anesthetic performance; carry out surveillance and monitoring of physiological functions, the evaluation of the status of possible complications and emergencies and contribute to their solution; provide highly specialized nursing care to patients for diagnostic and treatment methods of the heart and blood circulation; identify complications and contribute to their solution; provide highly specialized nursing care pediatric patient from 10 years to life-threatening diseases of the heart and blood circulation; perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation using available technical equipment including atrial heart electric discharge Activities: conduct surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of information vital signs, participate in the evaluation of the severity of the condition; participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of technical equipment including cardiac defibrillation electric discharge; monitor the performance of Anesthesiologists special instrumentation and provide a constant readiness; contribute to the provision of highly specialized nursing care of patients before, during and   immediately after completion of all modes of general and local anesthesia; prepare medicines and equipment for the individual techniques and overall local anesthesia; contribute to the overall management of the individual techniques and local anesthesia; cooperate in the implementation of tracheal intubation; measurement and analysis of physiological functions by using specialized instrumentation procedures including the use of invasive methods; perform complex highly specialized nursing care focused on prevention of immobilization syndrome; contribute to the provision of highly specialized care to patients for diagnostic and treatment methods of the heart and blood circulation; contribute to the provision of highly specialized nursing care to patients before and after major surgery, transplants and trauma; monitor cardiac function special instrumentation aa ensure continuous readiness; Performances and their frequency (mandatory minimum range): Preparation of patients for general anesthesia in the operating room 5x; evaluation of data on the patient's condition during anesthesia 5x performance; care of the patient during anesthesia 3x performance; patient care after general anesthesia in the operating room 5x; preparation of the anesthesia machine 5x; preparation of drugs for general anesthesia 5x; perform tracheal intubation (or. on model) 5x; preparation of aids and assistance with endobronchial incubation (or. on model) 1; perform secure the airway Laryngeal Mask 2; Prepare the patient for local anesthesia 5x; Assistance with local anesthesia (the operating room) 5x; Anesthesiologists 3x management documentation; evaluating data on the patient's health conscious 3x; evaluating data on the health status of the patient in a coma   3x; securing a patient in critical condition (receive) 3; performance recording and evaluation of ECG 5x; preparation and care of the patient to cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic methods 5x; care of a patient following a left sided heart catheterization 2x; preparation of aids and assistance with the introduction of a temporary pacemaker 2x; Prepare the patient for esophageal pacing 2x; Patient preparation for cardioversion 3x; preparation of aids and assistance for cardioversion 3x; Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (or. on model) 5x; cardiac defibrillation electric discharge (event. 5x model;
