Course objectives
Introduction to modern education. Education as a science discipline. Structure of disciplines. Main categories (education, goals, methods, conditions, subjects of education, curriculum). Current trends in the education in the Czech Republic. Educational system of the Czech Republic. Trends in the education in the EU countries. Alternative models of education. At the end of the course the student will be able to understand the basic terminology of the subject and use the information acquired in the subject to expand one’s own perspective of the issues studied.

  • Introduction to modern education. Education as a science discipline. Structure of disciplines. Main categories (education, goals, methods, conditions, subjects of education, curriculum). Current trends in the education in the Czech Republic. Educational system of the Czech Republic. Trends in the education in the EU countries. Alternative models of education.
