- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to develop speaking, reading, writing and listening skills at pre-intermediate level. The basic study material is coursebook New English File Upper-Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials.
At the end of the course students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at intermediate level and communicate in the language fluently. - Syllabus
- The basic study material is the coursebook New English File UPPER-INTERMEDIATE (Student's book and Workbook), see Literature below. The syllabus includes Unit 2, the focus is on speaking and listening activities and development of students' vocabulary.

- Workshop, discussions, role-play, self-study.

- Requirements: assigned homework, i.e. prepare the corresponding section of the Unit; regular attendance; one written assignement; written test; oral credit test.
Methods: discussions, group work activities, pair work activities, listening and reading tasks.
