Course objectives
At the end of the course the participants will understand the basic principles of the theory and practice of English language learning and teaching.
They will understand teacher knowledge, attitudes and basic competences of an English teacher. Participants will be acquainted with age and individual differences of a learner.

Teaching methods
Seminars with discussions in pairs, groups and whole class,reading as self-study.
Assessment methods
Every student is required to have read the assigned texts and share their thoughts about them around the discussion circle. Personal statement should be handed during the colloquy talk. The colloquy itself will focus on the assigned readings and topics discussed in the seminars.
