- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to strengthen the competences of students in the field of special needs counseling and intervention for children with ADD/ADHD. Upon successful completion, the student will be able to apply the methods of the special needs assessment and intervention of the child with the barriers in education and in the socialization processes in the context of ADD/ADHD syndrome. Student will be able to apply counseling interview with the child/parents/teachers/support persons, lead assessment records and case conference.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student:will have acquired knowledge about supporting and counselling the child with ADHD/ADD in his education at school as well as at residential care. Upon successful completion, the student will be able to apply the methods of the special needs assessment and intervention of the child with the barriers in education and in the socialization processes in the context of ADD/ADHD syndrome.

- The specific educational needs of children with ADD/ADHD Developmental specifics as the basis of assessment ADD/ADHD syndrome as a personal risk of behavioral disorders, Special Needs assessment, the identification of the objectives of the intervention, the long-term objectives of the intervention scale Tools for the assessment of the educational needs of children with ADD/ADHD – standardized/specific/ICF A model of early intervention, informed intervention Intervention 3 p – focusing on the resilienci and copingové strategy an individual with ADD/ADHD Basic strategies of teaching and learning support for children with ADD/ADHD, structured learning Consulting interview A comprehensive advisory system in education – internal, external with a focus on children with ADD/ADHD Examples of good practice interventions compared with foreign countries
