Course objectives
The topics define both the monological and dialogical oral and writing skills. Exercises apply the practice of elementary speech skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The emphasis is given on mastering vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and intonation. Special focus is given the theme of how to analyse and describe the Russian accent correctly.

Teaching methods
Students work up homework and within an individual work they elaborate essays during the study. Students work individually and they also cooperate in group projects. They continuously read Russian texts.
Assessment methods
Written tests and oral exam. Credit course, active participation, homeworks.
