- Course objectives
- Extension of the course Greek Grammar III. The aim of the course is a systematic explanation of the normative grammar of the Attic dialect in the Classical period (according to Lexis: 30-39), i.e. morphology: athematic verbs, summarization of all stem types of the Greek verbal system, dual, numerals; syntax: special types of infinitive and participal constructions, temporal clauses, indirect speech. At the end of this course, students will be able to use the explained grammar and vocabulary by active and passive translation of the Old Greek texts.

- Teaching methods
- Planned learning activities and teaching methods consist of lectures, reading Greek, excercises and drills during the lessons, homeworks.
- Assessment methods
- During the semester it is obligatory to pass two written partial tests. Credits are given at the end of the semester after the passing of the final written test which consists of translating a text from Greek to Czech, translating simple sentences from Czech to Greek, identifying and translating verb and noun forms. With regard to the results of the partial tests, credits are awarded for scoring 60% (both partial tests passed), 65% (one partial test passed) or 70% (none of the partial tests passed).
