Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are: extended skills in the use of Swedish, both spoken and written, in different thematic areas;
deepening the knowledge of grammar;
extension of vocabulary of both everyday situations, as well as specific topics
The level after successful completion of the course according the European Framework of Reference for Languages: B1
Syllabus
  • Working with authentic texts and newspaper articles which relate to Swedish life and social conditions, specific themes, such as media, famous Swedes, differences between generations
  • Working with authentic audio materials
  • Practicing detailed grammatical domains, with emphasis on the contrast between Czech and Swedish, for example the use of articles and tenses

Teaching methods
The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students.
