- Course objectives
- onocrystal orientation by Laue method. Absorption edge of semiconductor. Optical properties of semiconductors. Temperature dependence of resistivity of metal and semiconductor. Temperature depedence of Hall coefficient of semiconductor. Hot cathode ionization vacuum gauge calibration. Thermocouple, Pirani and Penning vacuum gauges calibration. Thin film thermal evaporation. Determination of parameters of thin films. Paschen law and measuring of the potential drop in the cathode region of the glow discharge. Mass spectroscopy of gases. Methods for determinimg of some mechanical properties of solids. Hall effect in metel and semiconductor. Energy levels of electron in Cu atoms. Work with a tunnelling microscope. Physical phenomena connected with the function of the tunnelling microscope.
