- Historical Background, Conditions of in vitro Culture. Plant Hormones and Growth Regulators. In vitro Vegetative Multiplication, Types of Regeneration, Thermotherapy. Callus Culture. Suspension Cell Culture, Direct and Indirect Somatic Embryogenesis. Test-tube Pollination, Fertilisation in vitro. Embryo Culture. Genetic Manipulation in vitro: Androgenesis (Anther Culture, Microspore and Pollen Culture), Gynogenesis (Ovary and Ovule Culture), Dihaploidization. Direct and Indirect Methods of Plant Genom Transformation. Protoplast Culture, Isolation and Fusion of Protoplasts, Somatic Hybridisation. Cryopreservation and Gene Banking. Secondary metabolites and Biotechnology.

- 1. Conditions of in vitro Culture, Laboratory Design. 2. Media Preparation and Sterilization. 3. In vitro Vegetative Propagation: Primary Culture Initiation (Micropropagation by Proliferation of Axillary Buds, Adventitious shoot Proliferation), Subculture. 4. Callus Culture: Initiation of Daucus Callogenesis, Organogenesis from Callus. 5. Meristem Culture: Apical and Axillary Meristem Isolation and Culture. 6. Test-tube Pollination/ Fertilisation in vitro: Sterile Pollination of Isolated Placentae with Ovules. 7. Embryo Culture: Isolation and Culture of Young and Mature Zygotic Embryos. 8. Somatic Embryogenesis: Direct and Indirect Somatic Embryogenesis. 9. Androgenesis: Initiation of Anther Culture. 10. Plant Genome Transformation: Disc Method of Agrobacterium-Mediated Transformation. 11. Cryopreservation: Alginate Encapsulation/Dehydration Method for Meristem Cryopreservation. 12. Fungi Culture: Suspension Culture of Wood-Destroying Fungi.
