- Course objectives
- This course continues to the course Bi1060 Plant Cytology and Anatomy and methodologically to the Bi1301 Microscopic Methods for the Study of Plant Structure. The main topics cover the development and structure of plant generative organs, formation of gametes, structural aspects of the pollination and fertilization process, embryo and endosperm formation. Various methods of light microscopy (dark field, Nomarski DIC, fluorescence), different techniques for microscopic preparations as well as scanning electron microscopy are used for this study.
