- Course objectives
- The basic obligatory course of the subject paleontology devoted to all students of bachelor study of Geology. It follows the main goal to present them the main general principles of paleontology and a fundamental overview of the paleozoological and paleobotanical system.

- Introduction to paleontology: Origin and types of fossils & Principles of Palaeoecology & Basics of taxonomy and nomenclature & The origin of life & System - fundamental characteristics of individual groups of organisms, phylogenetic relations, stratigraphic and paleogeographic extent, use in geology & Procaryota, Fungi & Algobionta & Cormobionta & Protozoa & Archaeocyatha & Porifera & Coelenterata & Vermes & Arthropoda & Mollusca & Bryozoa & Brachiopoda & Echinodermata & Hemichordata & Chordata (Vertebrata) & Contribution of paleontology to geology.
