- Course objectives
- At the end of the course the students are able to: Understand and explain developmental processes; Identify structures formed during embryogenesis; Interpret and explain recent knowledge and problems in regenerative and reproductive medicine; Formulate and discuss hypotheses about ontogenesis and evolution.

- Syllabus
- •Controlled study of specimens: gametogenesis •Experiment: Spermatoanalysis of Sus scrofa forma domestica •Experiment: Other andrologic techniques - assessment of survival of gamets after preservation; comparison of spermiograms in different species •Excursion: Reproductive biotechnology (VÚVeL) •Lecture of the expert: Oogenesis, meiosis – what cannot be found in the textbooks, Dr. Holubcová •Experiment: Preparation of mouse embryo a placenta •Excursion: Reproductive biotechnology in medicine (Reprofit) •Controlled study of specimens: Gastrointestinal system and its derivatives •Controlled study of specimens: Urogenital, circulatory, and motoric systems •Experiment: Preparation of chick embryo and placenta •Excursion: Anatomical museum in Faculty of medicine MU

- Assessment methods
- Students need to attend all tutorial sessions. Keeping records from lessons is compulsory and their evaluation is second part of final assessment. Third part of final assessment is the completion of description of 4 blind embryologic schemes or histological specimens.
