Course objectives
The course is practical in nature. Its aim is to consolidate the skills acquired in hospital environments and emergency medical services;
Allows application of theoretical knowledge in terms of clinical departments and institutes prehospital and hospital emergency care;
Students work under the supervision of trainers clinical practice to accredited highly specialized facilities;
Students will be able to identify individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of the patient using diagnostic algorithm, suggesting practically implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care in collaboration multidisciplinary team to apply theoretical knowledge into practice.
Syllabus
  • Objectives block for the workplace Intensive Care:
  • Organization and the system works department according to schedule;
  • The responsibilities and competences of the various categories of personnel departments, equipment, personnel and instrumentation, the specifics of the work, contact and communication with patients and their relatives in these departments;
  • Respect for patients' rights and the principles of ethics at work on ARD, RES, ICU, etc.;
  • Collecting, processing and transmitting information in treated patients - both written and oral form;
  • Maintenance of medical equipment, condition monitoring patients;
  • Activities:
  • strengthening nursing skills and activity-specific ARO (RES), intensive care and anesthesia, using theoretical knowledge (hygienic care, positioning, care and monitoring during mechanical ventilation, monitoring of physiological functions (vč.CVP)
  • record and ECG monitoring, defibrillation, intubation and extubation;
  • nonverbal communication;
  • infusion therapy, enteral and parenteral nutrition, administration of blood products;
  • keeping records;
  • securing and care of the entrances to the venous and arterial system;
  • assistance during puncture, drainage and catheterization;
  • subscription biol. material, preoperative and postoperative care, animal carcasses, ...).
  • Gradual delegation mentor separate actions within the framework of comprehensive care for assigned (him) patients (a), under the expert odhledem. Respecting the peculiarities of nursing care for different age groups of patients;
  • Mastering the handling of specific aids, inclusion in the workforce.
  • The objectives for specific workplaces:
  • prevail cup burn center - the specifics of burns and their treatment in the specialized workplace Treatment burned in the field and the continuity of hospital care.
  • The delivery room - leading all-time midwives, communication with the woman and her entourage, treatment of newborns, according to the possibility of conducting non-physiological childbirth.
  • Ambulance: consolidation of stereotypes and professional skills training Algorithms organizational expertise, active inclusion in the ambulance events under the supervision of trainers, practice teamwork, self-determination, solving major interventions, refinement and improvement of professional conduct and behavior.
