Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: students will be able to understand general issues of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics; they will be informed about the methods of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics; they will learn how to analyze ethical problems of diagnostics, opportunities and limits of diagnostics; they will recognize the domains of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics.
Learning outcomes
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: students will be able to understand general issues of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics; they will be informed about the methods of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics; they will learn how to analyze ethical problems of diagnostics, opportunities and limits of diagnostics; they will recognize the domains of pedagogical and psychological diagnostics.
Syllabus
  • Methods of psychological assessment. Psychological methods and their characteristics. Overview. Clinical methods: observation, interview, anamnesis, analysis of spontaneous products. Test methods: performance tests, personality tests (projective, objective, questionnaires, scales) Psychological assessment of students Classroom climate assessment. Family assessment. Educational assessment in educational situations. Educational assessment report. School entrnace assessment. ADHD / ADD Learning disabilities: dyslexia Developmental learning disorders: dysgraphia, dysorthografie, dyscalculia PAS (including Asperger syndrome) Children with disharmonic development of personality Children with differences in cognitive development (mental retardation) Professional orientation of children and adolescents. Ethical aspects of psychological assessment.
