- Course objectives
- The course develops the knowledge and primarily practical skills the undergraduates get in the lessons of The Alternative Methods of Teaching the Czech Language. We accentuate practical knowledge of these methods: their aim is to develop active, effective learning and independent, critical way of thinking of the pupils, then to develop work with a text and creativity.
- Syllabus
- 1 Evocation phase methods of the lesson (key words, discussion in pairs etc.) 2 Realization phase methods (discussion web, we teach each other etc.) 3 Reflection phase methods (a map of thoughts, free writing). 4 Game as a teaching Czech method. 5 Use of computer programmes in teaching grammar and stylistics. 6 Influence of teaching methods on the atmosphere in schools. 7 Techniques of preparation lessons.

- Assessment methods
- Teaching type: seminar. The subject is ended by a credit test. The students are called to do homework in the course of the term. They submit a portfolio that includes the application of methods based on chosen topics of Czech language grammatical or stylistic subject matter to get a credit.
