- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows: To understand morphology, anatomy, biology, and ecology of Phylla and other important taxa. To learn current phylogeny of Eukaryotes and especially "invertebrate" Metazoans. Knowledge about important and common species in the Czech Republic and their ecology and distribution.

- 1. Introduction, principles of taxonomy and phylogeny, phylogeny of Eukaryotes, Kingdoms: Amoebozoa, Rhizaria, Excavata 2. Kingdoms: Chromalveolata, Opisthokonta - introduction 3. Metazoa - introduction, "Porifera", Ctenophora, Placozoa, Cnidaria, Myxozoa 4. Acoelomorpha, Ectoprocta, Entoprocta, Cycliophora, Gnathostomulida, Micrognathozoa, Syndermata 5. Gastrotricha, Platyhelminthes 6. Mollusca, Brachyozoa, Chaetognatha, 7. Nemertea, Sipuncula, Annelida 8. Nematomorpha, Nematoda, Scalidophora 9.
