- Course objectives
- Basic aspects of light microscopy with a view to the zoological methods (dark field, phase contrast, differential interference contrast, fluorescence, confocal microscopy, measurement methods, photomicrography, drawing). Basic zoological techniques - nativ and permanent slides, fixation, staining, mounting media, embedding and cutting.
- Syllabus
- Light microscopy - dark field, phase contrast, differential interference contrast, fluorescence, confocal microscopy, measurement methods, photomicrography, drawing;. Basic zoological techniques - nativ slides, vital staining (neutral red, Kongo red, Methylen green, Janus green B). Permanent slides, framing, fixation, Carmine and hematoxylin staining; glycerol, glycerol-želatina, Liquido-Faure, PVA; resinous media - canada balsam.Histological slides - embedding, cutting and staining.
